Who are Cubs?
Cubs are young people aged 8 to 10½ who:
- Master new skills and try new things
- Have fun and go on adventures
- Make friends
- Are curious about the world around them
- Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond
Every week, they gather in groups called Cub Packs to take part in lots of interesting and challenging activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
We meet Thursdays at Blacklands Church.

Cub leaders
All of our leaders are trained volunteers, working to make sure Scouting is safe, inclusive and accessible. Some lead the Pack week in and week out. Others visit occasionally to help run a session or drop in to share their skills.
Badges
You may have already earned some shiny awards when you were a Beaver and you’ll earn even more as a Cub. Start with your membership badge and then travel all the way up to the Chief Scout’s Silver Award. You can work towards as many as you like, at your own pace. Are you ready? Let’s get stuck in.
